Additional Swim Programs:
· Parent and Me: For ages 6 months to 2 years. This is a great first introduction to the water for younger aspiring swimmers. It sets the basic foundation for future swim instruction. This program also teaches parents how to make their children feel comfortable in the water.
Special Needs Students: Island Swim believes everyone should receive the gift of learning how to swim. Stefan holds a Masters Degree in Special Education and is a certified Special Education teacher in South Carolina and New York. Throughout his career he has successfully helped numerous special needs children and adults learn to swim.
*Semi Private: 2:1 student to teacher ratio. Do you have two swimmers that are close in age and ability? Then this is the program for you! Students will be taught the same skills and learn them together - many times learning from each other! Emphasis however is still primarily focused on individual skills. *Group Private: 4:1 student to teacher ratio. This is our most economical choice for swim lessons and is great for families or older more advanced swimmers. Island Swim believes when a group has more than four participants the student's individual skills are often overlooked. To avoid this, class size is limited to a maximum of four swimmers.
*Small Group: 3:1 student to teacher ratio. Swimmers close in age and ability can learn to swim in a group environment, promoting social comfort, yet still receive a fair amount of individual attention.
